Burnaby, BC

This 68 acre site on the bank of the Fraser River consisted of asbestos abatement and demolition of nearly 850,000 square feet of concrete from production buildings, numerous warehouses and outbuildings, two multi-storey office buildings, railway spurs, docks, and water treatment facilities (pump house, leachate pond, etc.). The early stages of deconstruction began in October 2013 and we achieved completion on schedule at the end of June 2014. Approximately 30,000 cubic meters of concrete was recycled / crushed and left on site for reuse by the owners as they rebuild this area into a new industrial development. We successfully recovered 2,500 tonnes of steel and rebar, and reclaimed nearly a half million board feet of solid lumber for resale in high-end real estate projects.
