BC Children’s and Women’s Hospitals

Project Details

This project consisted of hazardous materials abatement and demolition of various buildings located on occupied hospital grounds in a very busy area of Vancouver.

Careful dust and noise suppression were important considerations at this site due to the medical concerns of the patients in the neighbouring medical buildings and for nearby residents. This was a LEED Gold Standard project including a 4-storey building with over 180,000 square feet of floor space.

We processed a final recycling rate in excess of 90% of concrete and scrap metal materials - well above LEED Gold Standard requirements.
